National Museum “Padahod Radetski” is the only unique sailing museum. It is tied to the unforgettable heroism and self sacrifice of the great Bulgarian hero Hristo Botev and his company.

The Botev monument immortalize the gratitude of the Bulgarian people for Botev’s company. Every year on 2 June in the center of city Kozloduy in front of the memorial, a lot people are gathered to give their respect to one of the brightest character in our history.

In Kozloduy Region the tourist activities are mostly to give opportunity for the local people to relax and exercise. Two of the main tourists routes goes through the region - National tourist excursion “On the footsteps of Botev’s squad” and International water march on river Danube.

The national museum “Parahod Radetzki” in Kozloduy, “Popovo hanche” in Butan village and ruins of the roman emperor Augusta near Hurletz village are among the best tourist places in the region.
“Kozloduy’s shore” hut is located in the park Botev, near the place where Botev’s squad have moored in 1876.
